Guest Bedroom--Please Help Me Design
Comments (12)Autumn, I would suggest that you look at nightanddayfurniture.com. You say this will be a seldom used room you don't want to put a lot of $$$ into. However, you want it to look nice. Furniture made by this company is ready to assemble (rta). I've had their Chameleon bed for about four years, and it still looks like new. At that time cost was about $550 for a double bed. It has a lot of custom options. The headboard panels pop off if you want to cover with your own fabric. The bedrail adjusts to two different heights. Other accessories include roll out under bed drawers and a fold out footboard bench. Matching nightstands, dressers, chests, mirrors, and desks are also available. I purchased less expensive wood rta under bed drawers from another company and stained them to match the bed. Two drawers were $110 and push further under so I'm not hitting my toes when making the bed in the morning. I only use a foam mattress, no box springs, and all guests have commented how well they sleep. They also have a four poster bed, rattan bed, and other styles. Unlike you, my bedroom is tiny. I used an entertainment drawer with a supporting corbel beneath from Kraftmaid on each side of the bed to allow easy access to the under bed drawers. These are in white and the bed is stained cherry. I purchased a rta cherry coffee table from Night & Day and cut up the top so the night stand tops would match the bed. The bottom line is to use your imagination to do what best meets your needs....See MoreGuest bedroom help

Each gray paint color will look different in your house than it does in someone else's house because of lighting, surrounding decor or even other paint colors in the room. So before committing to a large amount of paint, buy a sample. When you get the sample home don’t just paint it in one little spot in the room, paint a 1′ x 1′ square on every wall in the room you are painting. Check it throughout the day in different lighting. The above is a good color to try if you decide to steer away from a blue tone. PAPER WHITE 1590 Paper White is a very soft, verrrrrry pale gray. It is so pale that it might even look white in some lights. I think that it’s a better choice for a darker room. Therefore, it’s a good one for a gray for a north facing room. It is actually neither warm nor cool, just a very pale dove-gray and a wonderful choice for anyone wanting to give a pale gray room a go. or Passive by Sherwin Williams. Sherwin Williams offers quart paint samples which is a great. BM doesn't offer paint samples so perhaps a bad choice for me to toss them at you and suggest them! It all depends on the room and again most important to paint either on a poster board cut in to 4's and try the color on 4 walls or paint a 1'x1' of colors you choose on to a wall. Behr, SW and a few others offer paint samples. Either way, not trying to take you away from your blue walls, but don't see it as the best choice for the rich gray bed. Good luck to you!...See MoreTeen bedroom & Guest bedroom ideas

Comments (37)Hi Theresa, thanks for the pillow info. I’m so confused because I’m not sure the exact size of the two off white Shams i have now. And if i add two euro pillows they won’t go with my exact bedding. Right now my sleeping pillows seem to be larger than the Shana that go with the duvet. It’s an old Calvin Klein art from 2008 when i was first married. Nice but organic cotton with a very subtle jacquard like floral print. I do love the look of the matalese bed skirt but not sure if i have too many textures going on. Wondering if i need to add more color now. I was these poufs in target and i thought tonout a couple at the foot of the bed for my kids to watch tv with their grandparents. Yes i can put the other night stand on the other side. I am feeling like all the wood furniture in the room is too heavy....See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
