If you can, please give blood tomorrow
Comments (4)Yes, Kelly, great message! I don't know if you saw my earlier post about the tornado, but my friend's stepmother's sister was one of the fatalities in Joplin. After she was rescued and taken to the hospital, she died due to blood loss and lack of available blood. Suzie...See MoreWhat do you know about the blood-type diet?
Comments (13)I don't believe it based on the blood type. I think as soon as you start avoiding certain foods anyone of any blood type is going to lose weight. I went on a one month milk avoidance diet one time to see if I was allergic to milk. I had to avoid so many of my regular foods that I lost weight. I suspect it's that change in calories from what one normally eats that affects the weight loss. I also think genetics would have an affect. Our genes are both dominant and recessive. We get so many different variations from our ancestors. My parents are A+ and O+ blood types. I am A+ and my husband is B+. My children are B+, O+, and B-. I'll base this off of my children's blood types since I know three generations of blood type for them. None of my children are A+ like I am, but I would think that they had some of my characteristics....See MoreDo you know your blood type?
Comments (64)I'm A+. One time I had a miscarriage and doctor sent me to the hospital. The next morning I was ready to leave and they said they would discharge me but first I had to take a shot to protect future pregnancies, because I was A-. I said, "No, I am A+. I am not taking the shot." A little argument ensued, as I was getting ready to leave. They called my doctor and he said to re-test me. The guy from the lab came, and said, "I don't know why they want a re-test, because you are A+. They wrote it on your chart wrong." I said a few choice words to them and left. Maybe the shot wouldn't have hurt me...that's not so much the point. It wouldn't have done me any good...and what if I had needed a blood transfusion from these clowns? Hospitals are dangerous places and any time someone goes, you need to be on your toes all the time....See MoreHave scion to trade or give away, Honey Mandarin and Sanghelli Blood
Comments (5)These scion were just cut this morning. Rather than throw them in the trash, I figured I'd offer them up here. I use a cleft graft which I have 80-90% success rate although it's not an efficient use of buds. The shiraniu scion had 12 buds, so in theory I could have done 12 bud grafts, but since I did cleft grafts I only got 3 grafts done. Just send me your address on the email I left on the first post and I'll divi them up based on how many response I get. I'll probably send them out on Monday since it looks cool for the rest of the week. Steve - I don't think there is a way to contact people either. Van...See Morejlsch
