Solid neutral quartz counter tops to go with Calacatta gold backsplash
Comments (10)@Beth H. - thank you for your comments. I don't think we want to have dark counter tops. The kitchen is open to our family room. The minimal wall space in the kitchen will be painted a light blue color, as will the walls in the family room. We were thinking about: a) white cabinets and island b) the Calacatta gold marble 3" x 6" tiles for the back splash c) light(ish) counter tops on the perimeter and island (perhaps with some grey coming through d) medium brown hardwood floors We thought about using walnut for the island surface, but decided against it due to maintenance issues. If we didn't want to have dark counter tops, are there any other options? Thanks!...See MoreWhat backsplash with Colonial White granite counters & white cabinets?
Comments (19)After more thought, the 4x12 is going to look weird. It will only be 4 tiles high behind the main counter. And the long stretch under the bar is only 5.5 inches tall so it will have one tile and a sliver of a tile under the bar. I really wish I could find something that is 2.5x6, 3x8, 3x10 in a color similar to the MSI Dove Gray. The MSI Dove Gray has a silvery tone to it that goes best with the Colonial White granite counters. I found a 2x10 tile that is gray (SOCI Crafted Brick Gray which is apparently new). I like the size, the crackle finish, and the uneven handcrafted look to it but the gray is more of a putty color. It doesn't have the silvery color that the Dove Gray has. The SOCI Crafted Brick Gray is apparently new so I can't find any pictures or displays at showrooms of it up on a wall to see how it looks installed. But, the Colonial White granite has some silver shimmer scattered throughout it that I think goes better with the Dove Gray. So, does anyone know of a silvery gray tile in a 2x6-10 or 2.5x6-10 or 3x8-10?? Something other than the 3x6 size that is everywhere. A little bit shorter and wider than the standard 3x6. Thank you very much for any advice or suggestions! Dove Gray on left in 3x6. Soci Crafted Brick in 2x10 on right. Dove Gray 4x12 on left. Comments (2)u sure you want dover white w/the verona quartz? have you painted a door sample and held it up against the countertop? many people complain after install that the cabs look dingy next to the quartz. Dover White on cabs and quartz countertop. this is what you want? as for your backsplash, you aren't providing any pictures of the kitchen. how can we possible pick anything? just wait until everything is installed, post a picture and then figure out the splash. hood vent? on something we can't see? becky, help us out here. don't have a clue what style cabinets you're doing or what the layout/ceiling/flooring looks like. post a picture because we aren't clairvoyant. is this your countertop? then go with Simply White and a vent like this (and use the slab up the back if you have enough of it) your creamy white paint isn't going to look like this brighter white cab color. which brand are you using? most of what I see the white is very white. I'd seriously rethink using Dover White...See MoreAll my backsplash choices are backordered! Calacatta Gold Counters
Comments (7)IMO you can wait for backsplash for a very long time and I honestly would not choose white I woudld choose a gray from the counters in a large format glass subway tile and I never like mixing real stone with fake it does not do either material a favor. The other option would be a large backspals in the same material as the counter....See MoreLinda
