May I ask what is the purpose of the two tan totes that your cages sit on? I notice there are washers on each, so you must have a dowel or something inside to keep the tote's sides from spreading? But what do you use those totes for other than raising the cages higher off the ground? I will be showing your comparison of Gurney and Burpee to my DH, who is not accustomed to tomatos growing as tall in 5b as they do in our 8b zone. Your plants look great, BTW.

I have a June Tylor revesible pressing mat on a table beside my sewing maching, next to a 12x18 cutting mat. That servse most of my needs. I do have a table Ironing board and recently bought a cheap ironing board at Walmart to replace one that I had had for 40+ years. Their opened on need to use basis. I really don't room for them to be up. As to irons, that is a thorn in my side. Now I am using a B&D auto shut off which is fine. It replaced 2 other digital B&D's that were, to put it mildly, "crap". Each were used 4-6 weeks before they hit the dust. Eash has replaced the other by the co.. They replaced a Rowenta Professional that the thermostat went crazy and burned a huge black spot on a difficult block that I had just finished piecing. That replaced a Sharp that didn't work very well, which replaced a top of the line Rowenta which cost over $100 and lasted 3 years when the heat control died. That was to update a GE auto shutoff and is still my backup when all the others cause me to say bad words and pull out my hair. I am not sure why I put it away except that date to the early 90's. Then there is the Clove mini which is used occasionally for PP. Tucked away there is a ancient no holes GE that seemed like a good idea at the time but I have never used. Living in the the countryside 6 mi. from a village (12 - 15 from the city) without a car for a year and a half and city bus coming just to the village ... I tip my hat to that Walmart delivery guy! But he may be less able to get so loaded, if you'll pardon the expression, when he gets to 80+. I've found when hitchhiking home with a load of groceries after leaving the bus in the village that many go beyond their destination or out of their way to bring my haul to my door. When I offer some payment from my substantial savings by not operating a car for a year, some accept but many refuse ... so I repeat the offer, asking them to give the money to church or charity, which some accept. I am rather surprised that more than half of the persons giving me rides are female, (seldom of the youngish variety, understandably). ole joyful (forgot that, unless I push "space", the most recent word disappears, in this zzuoH territory, so needed to reproduce joyful-ly - adding one more punch! )
