I don't see olive green, but I probably am not seeing it's true color--- I think I would prefer a darker color over the light options best tho-- look at the samples in different light during day and night-- narrow it down to a couple and see if you can get a larger sample of them from the flooring company- I find larger samples are always more helpful! i think patterned carpeting can also look really pretty in bedrooms- esp if you have relatively plain bedding and a lot of open floor space... have you thought about that?

Did you pick up how the one video showed how the orange toned floors turned a gray blue. That is a concern I have too for you. Quality of light is key to architectural coatings. So, where does that leave us. Well, it depends on your light. Darker colors tend to be easier to work with it’s the lighter shades that are more sensitive to quality of light. I think you are good with Cyberspace, but your other choice scares me because you plan to use it throughout your home. Obviously, the quality of light in each space will be different so even though you are using the same color, it will look different in each space. Your orange tone or whatever flooring you have will also impact how the color is perceived. Does the Sherwin Williams store have a Color Specialist you could hire to visit your home and help you make a good, intelligent decision? In your case, I think it would be well worth the small fee they charge. Usually, $250-400 US dollars depending on the complexities of the home.

Designers do not rubber stamp every home as ”their” look. At least the good ones do not. So forget everything about hiring a designer being The Terrible Joanna Gaines One Note Experience. That TV stuff isn’t how it works. Yeah, there are Pinterest ”designers” that don’t even know how to draw a space plan, or understand the difference between primary, secondary, and tertiary hues. They don’t have to be good, just look good, and take good ”vignette” photos for social media. I got burned by several client’s working with that type of incompetence. I did my own due diligence, and now only work with a couple of good ones, that are brought in by me, to help my clients get, and stay, on track. A *good* designer gives you *your* house, but better, stronger, faster. It’s the bionic version. It’s you, on sterioids, better than you could ever do by yourself. Less expensive wasted purchases, and wasted effort, and less squirrel chasing after stuff that doesn’t work. Advance planning is what saves time and money. It’s proactive, not reactive. You need a *good* designer.

you don't have to move the door, just change that 1990 to something that fits the period of your home. Any of those doors in my pictures would work. is there a Salvage store in your area? they will have a ton of vintage doors there. or, Restore, craigslist, offer up,,,people are always redoing old homes and often sell the original doors. You could find a good price on those vintage ones. if they're painted, strip them. (I use SoyGel, or rent a HotGun paint stripper. get it down to raw wood, sand it w/multiple grits and either stain/seal, or prime it and paint it one of those fabulous colors. ) I'd bring in flowers in pinks/purples/whites and lots of green foilage to work w/your gorgeous roof color! you see this porch? Then spruce up the porch w/paint, planters, a swing, a bench, whatever. find used rocking chairs and paint one. If you can't find the right color pots, get the cheap terra cotta or the plastic ones and spray paint them. Valspar has some awesome spray paint colors. Do some better numbers, paint the porch/steps. diff door, some better hanging plants. This potted hydrangea is the perfect shade of lavender for your home! Painted steps.
