Comments (7)Congratulations on your pretty seedlings. Normally, I'd pass by the yellows only because there's too much overall yellow tone in our garden, but S. Green Creek is so perfect, it gets my vote today. I'm glad you are getting some nice blooms "up yonder." The extreme heat with no relief in rain has created very, very bad conditions here in the Gulf Coast area, worsened by our 2 nights per week water restrictions. I walked out to the daylily bed today after church, and it looks like a war zone. Almost every daylily looks like it is dying, or is retreating underground. This has all happened quickly within the last three days. I've never seen such a disaster among our daylilies before. Nancy...See MoreFirst blush today, 59 days after transplanting
Comments (2)I bought an early girl at home depot before the flowers were on it... kind of a small plant then. I have 5-8 tomatoes on it currently. The first tomato doesn't look like it's going to get any bigger and it feels like it is taking forever to turn color ( weeks now) and it's still as hard as a rock. In mean while 2 cherry tomato plants are turning color. I hope this early girl puts out some more flowers and tomatoes... I was expecting more off of it. I only bought this as a back me upper incase my heirloom plants didn't make it. Between what I don't eat fresh and giving some away... I plan to sun dry them. I've never canned before, but I LOVE sun dried tomatoes... I can't keep them for long... I eat them like potato chips....See MoreToday's the day!
Comments (13)Thank you everyone! One thing I cannot wait to buy for her is an American Girl Doll! And a miniature Tea Set. hee. Her name is Elizabeth. Henry and Elizabeth. Not after English royalty though. They won't call her any nicknames but her full name. Here's a great website for you grannys or moms out there. Two years ago I bought my DIL a necklace with Henry's name on it, and now I'll add to it with Elizabeth's name. It's not a large company, but they have really simple little charm necklaces and bracelets. My DIL wore her Henry charm while she was pregnant with him. It was so sweet. Comments (15)will you post weekly on how clean your desk is? We'd like to know you know! I vote for weekly updates on Chemocurl's desk! I can do that...weekly updates. As some of you know, I live alone and have been for 35 years. That can make for one developing some very bad habits. Over the years, I have become a clutterbug, and in recent years have been battling that bad habit. I can blame the clutter here on no one but myself. After the major job of getting something decluttered and clean to my liking, the next challenge is 'keeping it that way...that the clutter in that newly cleaned area does not start all over. Keeping something clean is a lot harder than the initial cleaning, as it requires diligence and tenacity. Now what are you going to clean? Not going to tackle anything new for a week or so. Tonight I am leaving, and tomorrow early AM GF and I are heading off on our annual January Daytona Beach vacation. YAY! When I return, I will likely tackle the back entry/hall/laundry room area. YIKES! It is a real fright, or I may start to paint the living/dining rooms as they have been on my winter chore list for years now. So when do we get to see it??? Yah, where's a picture of where you set? Hmmm...I took both b4 and after pics. When I went to put them in the computer I found I had to reinstall the Kodak software again (since the computer was emptied and cleaned a while back). I got it downloaded, and the few desk pics in my computer (it said it was anyway) but now I cannot see/find them. I looked in my Pics, my docs, Kodak folder, and ever searched...never did find them. The camera is new, and I've never transferred pics to the computer b4, so that is something to be figured out sometime later...just not right now...but I promise to finally get them posted.
