4 year old Queen Palms still same size..... :(
Comments (6)Hi I'm in 10 florida and have noted over the years lots of variation in queens For example those I started in 01 from seed range from under 10 to over 25 feet !! Interestingly the 25 foot ones are almost twice as big as the mother plant from which the seeds came . and I know that one to be over 30!! My neighbors have 5 all planted at the same time from nursery stock same range as mine but were planted in 90 !!Sorry I can't be of more help but there seems to be much natural variation.?? gary...See MoreHelp with 3 year old boy room - black paint!!?
Comments (64)Oh for goodness' sake. It's a can of paint, I'm not letting him run in the street, eat cupcakes for dinner, stay up all night long, get tattoos, or ride his bike without a helmet! I posted because I was unsure how to make it work, and you all helped me to see that maybe it could, especially if I just do one wall in Downpipe. If his choice was completely untenable, I'd tell him no. But if there is a way to accommodate him, even if it isn't my first choice, why not? It's a can of paint. Besides, it's so fun watching his big brown eyes open so wide with delight when you tell him something he's happy about. He keeps asking to see pictures of the "Avengers' bed" daily. He is so psyched. Yes, he's a lucky boy to have a say in his room. There will be times in his life when he can't paint the wall the color he likes best, and much much worse. But I refuse to prepare him for that famine by starving him now. This kid wakes up every morning, often before 5:30 (!), so excited to start his life that day that he can't fall back asleep. I can only wish that feeling lasts as long as it can....See MoreLooking at this 5-8 year old Decor double oven....
Comments (5)As others have said, that unit looks to be more like 8-12 years old. Get the serial if you can. If she opens the top oven door it should be right under the control panel through the vent. Not easy to see but should give you some info. Dacor can tell by the serial info how old it is. If it works perfectly it's not a terrible price, but most appliances have a 10-15 year practical life span. Keep in mind that 350 might buy you a few yeara...and then you'll need to find yourself a new oven!...See MoreToilet for Our 140 year-old House
Comments (8)Thank you so much for your suggestions. I do love the look of the Guinevere. It is just what I am looking for as far as styling. I do wish it didn't cost quite so much, though. But Helen's post, and Chris's second, did lead me to Toto's toilets, which I was not familiar with before. I can see that people seem to be very happy with them. I am looking now at the Promenade II by Toto. It costs a bit less than the Guinevere. It has the ADA comfort height with an elongated seat and comes in either one-piece or two-piece configurations. It does not have the skirted styling, but I am willing to give that up for the cost savings. It uses the Tornado flush system. I wonder if any of you are familiar with this toilet. Cpartist suggests the Koehler Memoirs, which I love the look of, too. It is quite a bit less expensive than the Toto Guinevere. I wonder if it flushes as well as the Promenade II....See MoreLizzie Borden
