Two sofas or one sofa and 2 chairs in narrow living room w/ fireplace

I am evaluating options to design my living room. Would you guys prefer two sofas facing each other or a sofa and two chairs in a living room long narrow living room with fireplace? My living room layout is exactly as first picture. We host a lot of guests so would be good to have ample seating but at the same time I don’t want to clutter the room. I like the light, bright and airy space.

design style: Mid-century modern, contemporary, Minimalistic, Scandinavian

Show YOUR room and dimensions. It would be simple to add two accent chairs to the two sofa configuration. Assuming the space to do so. Who knows? We don't. Those are not your room.

These are the listing photos from the prior owner. The room is empty and I'm looking for help. In the dining room all I have is a table. I really like this Robin Bruce sofa that a local store has but I was thinking Navy. My husband thinks that is too dark in the room and also not practical with the dog. But I'm really wanting advice on furniture placement/arrangement. Would you do 2 sofas facing each other and tv over fp or put a console on long wall with tv?

Furniture placement help - narrow living room w/ multiple French doors

The couch in the last picture is too large for the room. Which way do the French doors swing? Will you be opening/closing them? Try the other couch facing the FP (put it just past the window bank) with a chair on each side of the FP. OR put it on the window wall with a chair to the right of the FP and the other chair to the right of the French door opposite the windows. Please post a picture of the actual room.

As far as "ample seating" is defined. I find a couch seating for two. No one wants to sit in the middle. If they land there it won't be for long.

It‘s our living room and used only when we have guests over. It is not the primary room where we hang out as we have a family room.

Having 2 comfortable chairs is equivalent to a sofa, as has been stated no one sits in the middle seat. That’s why people opt for 2 chairs over a loveseat. Although, I’ve Found when I have guests, often times a couple sit together on the loveseat.
