Do I have to change out these older brass/mirror closet doors?

D Sutton

Renovating a late 1970s home in Scottsdale, AZ, and nearing the end of the project. I have avoided replacing the original brass metal framed mirrored closet doors thus far, hoping they wouldn't look too bad with the new paint and coming-soon carpet. I've priced new white six-panel bypass doors, and if I want solid core, they're EXPENSIVE! I could go with hollow core, but that feels cheap, and then I hate the thought of these high-quality solid metal/mirror doors going in the bin.

I'd love to get some thoughts on whether or not these can be kept. Or do they look horrendous and will they be an impediment to selling?

Thanks in advance.
