Do you have a picture of the house head-on? I assume the side with the garages isn’t considered the front of the house.

On second thought I guess that is the front of the house. Have you considered replacing one or both of the windows so that they are symmetrical? What are you replacing the garage doors with (what style/color)?

The garage side faces the street. I haven't decided as far as garage doors...I'm open. To get to the actual front door, you walk up the stairs (on the right of the garage). The windows wouldn't be an option.

I would do a clean, modern style garage door to go with the style of the house. Clopay has a "try on" option. Just upload your picture and try different styles.

Got it. I hope you can get the gist of what I’m thinking with these two pictures. Overall I think you need more contrast in the house vs the trim. The ideal would be if you could go darker with the house and lighter with the trim. In terms of the door, I think it’s funky and it certainly speaks to the era of the house, but I think it should be a different color than the trim. You could do a punch of color or you could replace the door entirely with one that is natural wood.

In terms of creating a sitting area, can’t you just extend the landing out? It might mean you’ll have to expand the walkway. Continuing the roof over it might be ricky, but you could do a nice railing around it to better define the space.

I would go modern/contemporary style with charcoal/bronze/black trim, wider steps.

The bluish grey is not nice in the pictures. I would like white siding, white gutters and slate grey trim. Also agree with housson that the door should be a glossy black . For the entrance area, if possible, build a large light grey square deck that extends from the front door (no steps) to close to the property line and from the back wall (right of front door) to under the 3 windows (left of front door) with a white & glass railings like the other side of house (rear).
