Need help with 1940s exterior and landscaping
Comments (2)I like the dark porch, the house looks really cute. I wouldnt worry about painting that. I dont even mind the yellow door, although, I am not fond of yellow, and would have probably painted it a bit more orangy color. It is the landscaping, you need to concentrate on, since it needs a lot of help. There is a landscaping forum, here, I would post there with your picture, and you should get a lot of help....See More1940s brick raised ranch - exterior and curb appeal help!
Comments (3)I like the last mock up except the windows should all be the same , I have never tried painting roof shingles but does not sound like a good idea.. Good plan to remove the bays and those awnings. If the awnings were actually controlling the light and heat from the sun just use soal dhades inside to do the same thing. Please do not paint the brick...See MoreNeed help with exterior of 1950’s brick ranch
Comments (6)Shutters do not get placed on bay windows so I have removed them. That leaves you with only one window for shutters so I have taken them off that window also. If you want the trim white select a white that is not as creamy as your current trim and not as stark as the windows and garage door. You need an updated landscaping plan....See MoreExterior colors for 1940s cedar-shake bungalow
Comments (6)Thank you, Sigrid. I'd go with yellow if my dining room (which looks out toward the yard and front door) wasn't a deep butter yellow. What shade of blue and how deep would you suggest? (My painters say they can stain the shakes any color, and Sherwin Williams tells me they can make any of their paint colors a stain.) Here are three SW stains I like. (Sorry about the huge size. I couldn't post the smaller versions corrrectly.) meadowbrook juniper blue chesapeake White trim is probably the way to go since the window frames are white and won't be painted....See MoreRelated Professionals
