Passion fruit vine

I have passion fruit vine from yellow fruit seed. It is one year old. Will it produce fruit and how long I have to wait for it. Last summer it was outside and now it is in the house until warmer weather comes.

It should do. Normally, they are smothered with flowers and fruits. They are very vigorous! Just remember to feed them and change the pot one size up or when it's too big, top up with new soil. You could find a place with the longest amount of sunshine and loads of pots and/or concrete which retain heat during day time and release it during the day and grow the plant there. It can cover a huge tree. When it's really cold, you could top up one foot of compost and fleece it.

Definitely a passion vine- hundreds of varieties. In Florida the most common plants available with leaves like your picture are edulis (usually purple fruit), edulis flavicarpa (yellow fruit), and Byron Beauty. All of these can exceed 40 feet, just trim to contain.

I'd cut that sucker off cleanly - it'll probably resprout, but doubt that the top will recover or survive. Don't know if you could cut up the top and root cuttings or not, but I'd probably give that a shot...

'Invasive plants can be left on a hot dry surface in the sun for awhile to get good and dead.' This brings me to my amazing discovery that I can kill couch grass (Bumuda grass) by cutting off the above ground stuff only and leaving it laying in the sun. Then I can add it to the compost. (Yipee!) In previous years I would (every now and then) try and dig it up, but the wretched stuff would not die even when left for weeks in the sun. It's stolons seemed to sustain it. I even experimented with boiling the stuff, stolons and all, so that I could add it to the compost, but you should have heard the complaints. No one could cope with a bit of grass in the kitchen. And on the floor. And kind of trailing on various bits of furniture.

I guess it could be fusarium wilt but I have no real experience with it, just guessing after seeing pictures online. It is already climbing a fence. I've trimmed the dead vines and watered/sprayed it with the Serenade fungicide. It's condition seems stable for now and not developing new wilts.
