Comments (14)Kind of puts the parts-and-service issue in perspective.... Smeg obviously trying to crack the US market now; whether they'll succeed we don't know. As for the aforementioned Smeg dishwashers rebranded as GE (and later DCS), that's how Bosch and LG got started in the US too. Bosch entered the US market in the '90s with only three products (all high-end dishwashers) and we all know what happened since. LG used to just rebrand their microwave ovens for others (and sell a few themselves under the Goldstar brand); it took less than a decade for them to become a major contender in all appliance product categories. Samsung didn't sell any major appliances here until about a decade ago under their own name. Comments (1)A convection M/W is not the same as a toaster oven. A Toaster oven ( or any toaster) uses radiant heat to brown the product. A convection M/W uses hot air to bake the product. Unless your M/W convection oven has a broil element it will not work as a "toaster"...See Morecan I get rid of my toaster oven somehow?

Comments (1)I went back and forth between the speed oven and microwave drawer, and ended up with the microwave drawer. If I'm remembering correctly both had basically the same install dimensions. We have ours in a 30" IKEA microwave base and it installed perfectly. I have a 5" drawer front to cut down to use as a trim filler for the gap but I have not yet done that part....See Moreaustin_rp
