Why we need women in office...

Annie Deighnaugh

Republican state Sen. Joey Hensley explained that he was worried about … how many tampons women might buy. While debating against the bill in the state legislature, he said, “I would think since it’s a sales tax holiday, there’s really no limit on the number of items anybody can purchase.” He went on to say he didn’t know of a way to limit how many feminine hygiene products someone could buy.

You see? Give women some free rein and the next thing you know they're out over shopping for feminine products! How irresponsible!!

The list is a tad wacky too. Some items are on it multiple times (examples: corsets, ties, caps, etc.). I wonder why it was necessary to call out "Chef Uniforms" when "Uniforms" are also on the list. And why is it important to mention "Bowling Shirts" when "Shirts" are on the list? We have "Bridal Gowns and Bridal Veils" on the list, but later "Wedding Gowns" have a "$100 or less rule applies."

I'm glad I don't live in TN.

Hoot! Someone should stuff feminine hygiene products in his desk drawers and coat pockets.

Creepy guy.

But no creepier than women being forced to share bathroom stalls with grown men who "identify" as women.

Here in the Commie/Socialist Southland we did have Lady Prime Minister and the current Premier of the State of NSW is a lady with an impossible name, Gladys B will do.

No! the world did not end and is not ending, both are/were professional politicians.

Although Gladys B leads a right wing party (by Australian Standards), I think she is fine and she passes the bull dust detector test.

Added via edit. The goods and sales tax on feminine products has been removed in Australia.

While I'm here, there is a Politician in the USA who scores off the scale in the bull dust detector around the world.

Is there some problem with having lady in charge over there? The dragon woman has been in charge here for 47 years and I have survived.

Seems a tad too fixated on this particular area.

Keep your kids away from this oddball with his creepy focus.

^^^^No more women” You can’t be serious. Never..! Yikes and so sad. Hope you don’t have daughters or granddaughters, regardless of Democrat or republican. So only men, in the USA are allowed to be president, in your view. Hmmm

I wonder how women on this forum feel about this, regardless of party?

Sharing a stall, does that require cheek to cheek sharing? I have never shared a stall with a woman before, not a lot of room in there is there?

The last one in charge brought us Benghazi, pay for play, and wasn't aware of what (C) means on the emails that she received in her basement. Before that she and her husband stole 28K worth of items from the WH on their way out.

Nope. No. No Way.

You don't get to bring up benghazi when trump has over 100 soldiers with traumatic brain injuries on his hands from his unnecessary attack on soleimani...you don't get to bring up pay to play when trump and his family had to shut down their foundation, pay fines and are banned from running any more due to how fraudulently they ran the trump foundation...you don't get to bring up confidential emails when trump and his family are using unsecured phones, private servers, handing out security clearances like candy and spilling code-level information to the russians and holding open-air strategy meetings at mar-a-lago...you don't get to complain about any supposed theft of anything from the wh when trump just spent $3.4 mil of taxpayer money for his super bowl party.

Your guy makes the clintons look like pikers. He's all yours. Own it.

Besides which, in case you didn't know, hillary didn't win. She's never been in charge of the white house. Ever.

Cut him some slack. The United States is a proudly capitalist country that values free markets and commerce, and it must be protected from the scourge of…

*shuffles papers, checks notes*

…large numbers of people buying a consumer product.

Always reminds me of the time when I was a teen and asked my dad to pick me up a box as he was going grocery shopping...he came back handed me the box and said, "Don't use them all at once."

That list is so funny. Thongs and Depends are tax-exempt, but not feminine hygiene products? And chef uniforms and clerical vestments, but not items used in trade or business? It's like trying to keep track of the Texas Blue Laws back in the day.
