Living room empty space ideas!
Comments (12)You need something large for that wall. Your table and mirror are too small. I don’t know what your budget is, but a built in or a wall unit for books, etc. would be nice....See MorePLEASE HELP - Large Empty Living Room Corner
Comments (12)Wouldn’t suggest white or teal end tables, as they will be too jarring. Without being able to use a coffee table, I think a new rug will be really important and that, along with cushions and art, will be all the color you need for a calm and pretty room. Have a vision before purchasing anything, so room will be well coordinated. In regards to corner, a bookcase (keep accessories at a minimum like below) or tripod lamp to compliment your favorite lamp. Then consider side tables: Large enough for lamp, but not too bulky. Consider only one, or both at other ends; see how it feels. I’d decorate walls above couches differently and this could be a nice combination. https://m.lightinthebox.com/p/oil-painting-hand-painted-abstract-modern-stretched-canvas-with-stretched-frame_p5019346.html?litb_from=pinterest_sns_paid&utm_source=pinterest_sns_paid&utm_medium=sns&utm_campaign=litb_catalogs&pp=0&epik=dj0yJnU9UEl2ZUVhQktlbEtqWWVnaGpLOVlycTNtWGlFc2JfWnYmcD0xJm49LVV1dmFDVy12R2ZaWmNHT2VPelJkZyZ0PUFBQUFBR0NGUHJR...See MoreHelp! my living room has been empty for 2 years!
Comments (34)Came here from your other post about window treatments. I can see why they used the dining room for the LR. That light is wonderful! If you use your dining room less than the LR, I'd swap them too, Then the stage makes more sense, "Ta da! Dinner is served." Really tho, it's not that bad. If the entry hall were wood like the rest of the house, it probably wouldn't stand out so much. Maybe. 😊...See MoreNeed help decorating empty area of living room
Comments (13)Great space with so much potential! Suggest searching modern on line rooms and any specific items you are considering. Save everything you like, as a plan will make it easier (for both short and long term additions) and take your time. Some ideas: Wall next to stairs - keep it simple; off set opening with height/volume and leave wall empty. Large vertical art on left of windows (will draw the eye away from toys as well) and on right, add a floor lamp and chair (as per Beverly’s suggestion). Fill the gap on left of fireplace, creating a more impactful feature wall. Ideas: large art (and you can mix metals). Shelving Could paint black as well.
