How to remove mildew from raw silk?

I have raw silk, undyed shower mitts and towels from a trip to Istanbul 10 years ago. They began to get mildewed pretty quickly. There is no odor. I don’t want to throw them out because there is nothing as good as these for exfoliation.

My bathroom is big and I thought I have good ventilation. It has a high ceiling with a non-opening skylight overhead. But still, wet things are stored near the shower.

I thought of using vinegar but have no idea if it is safe for raw silk: plus, it wouldn’t remove stains.

Thanks.
