Congrats, KC. It's been a long wait.
Great QB !!! Great game.
Congratulations Andy Reid! You deserve it. A worthy Super Bowl game all around.
That Mahomes is a doll. What a sweet smile.
elvis, I agree. He's got a bright future.
OMG !!!! I can't believe he has no idea where Kansas City is !!! What a total moron. Missouri may be a tad annoyed with their President!
It had to be a " fake" tweet

Oh, c'mon, Trump knows KC is in of of our 57 states.
Donald J. Trump
Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on a great game and a fantastic comeback under immense pressure. We are proud of you and the Great State of Missouri. You are true Champions!
Yeah fortunately he saw numbersjunkie’s post and corrected it.
He heard about nj's post. Magical.
Anyway back to the game, I don’t generally watch or follow football at all but this was an exciting game to watch. We were rooting for the Chiefs, too.
That is funny. I'm pretty sure that POTUS isn't the only one who didn't know that the team is based in nearby KC, Missouri.
LOL- I live in Missouri and did not know. My husband said so Missouri now has the Stanley Cup and won the Superbowl. I said huh? Aren't the Kansas Chiefs from Kansas city Kansas? He set me straight.
He should run for President.
Yeah,. I guess it's just silly for us to expect our POTUS to know basic geography stuff. And spelling and stuff. And how tarriffs are tacked onto the prices paid by consumers. And.....
“Toto, I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore”
The Chief's win proves flyover country rocks!
I never knew which side of the river the Chiefs were from. I never gave it any thought. It's basically the same city. Drive across the bridge and you're in a different state.
But you know enough to know that. So I’m guessing that if you were president and tweeting to the world, you’d at least know enough to look it up first. Right?
Such an exciting game. Was so happy for Andy Reid.
I wouldn't have mentioned a state. I've actually been there and that's why I knew. I spent 2 weeks in KC, K. when I went on a road trip with a friends family when I was 15. We stayed at his grandparents house, then drove across the river and stayed in KC, MO with his cousins for a couple of days. There was a small city south of KC, MO that was abandoned. I've always wondered what happened there. Tornado? Anyone know?
Father pitched for Twins
If Trump wasn’t President it might be funny, but since he is it just proves how stupid he is to tweet everything that pops in his very inadequate brain.
I will saying coming from Kansas City that I don't know how many times sports broadcasters over the years talk about "it's a beautiful night in Kansas" (not city but Kansas), or "it's always good to be back in Kansas", or "the fans in Kansas". It is confusing plus there IS a Kansas City, KANSAS as well as a Kansas City, Missouri, and no one ever calls them the Kansas City, MISSOURI Chiefs -- they're just the Kansas City Chiefs. Plus the folks in Kansas -- across that state line in actually the same metropolitan area support those Chiefs as much as their Missouri counterparts. So I feel that it is a honest mistake and an oft made mistake.
Found this on my home town -- Kansas City:
I only saw the last quarter, but it was exciting. I was cheering for KC too, but really didn't have a dog in the fight. Good job, KC! And, yes, Mahomes is a nice looking guy.
I really only found the last ten minutes exciting. It definitely wasn’t the most captivating football game I’ve watched.
Agree that Mahomes is adorable.
Before the game started he dissed the National Anthem.
Remember when kneeling was all the outrage?
So I feel that it is a honest mistake and an oft made mistake
The voice of reason. Thank you, Martha! Let's keep our eye on the ball with this thread. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl after a 50 year drought. Hail to the Chiefs!
queenmargo: LOL- I live in Missouri and did not know.
I didn't know either. (Go ahead and pile on, folks, I can take it.) ;-)
Checking in here from KCK (KANSAS, that is!)
I really couldn't care less (I might care a little bit if it were a Go, Big Red victory), but my son informs me that according to some local media, the celebrating in KC was so intense that the fireworks displays were actually picked up by the National Weather Radar.
Since KS only makes the news when it reports undesirable political events, it's at least nice to know that a football victory can transcend politics--and across much of the nation, at that!
Don't the New York Giants play in New Jersey
