got a new roku and put the xfinity app on it. took it too work and it does not connect. says you have to use the home network to work. ok, i assumed i needed the app to watch channels i like. but did some digging and see i can load individual channels on the roku and activate them 1 by 1 when i go online to that channels website. i have espn, amc, and best of all hbo all working now. so, i am getting what i really want? i just cant get the x app to work? and i dont really need it?

the info onlne and at the xfinity website say the app will not work away from your home network. but it stops there. it does not say you can still get the channels if you dont use the app?
