Comments (27)I am not the Ruud expert, but it appears to be a basic single stage system. Here is your Proposal 6: 2-stage, variable speed Carrier Furnace 59TN6080-14 (same as 5) 2-stage Carrier AC 24ANB736 Carrier evaporator coil CNPV3717 Infinity thermostat Comparing Carrier Proposal 6 vs. the Rudd system 2-stage 60KBTU vs. single stage 75KBTU (75K may be oversized) 2-stage 3 ton condenser vs. single stage 2.5 condenser 17 SEER (need to check) vs. 14.5 SEER Infinity thermostat vs. unknown thermostat The Carrier system is superior. You can get an equivalent Rudd system but it will cost more. I would spend the extra money on a variable speed furnace and a 2-stage condenser....See MoreCompletely lost it with my office lighting
Comments (4)Sorry, I attached an image of the lighting layout. Hopefully this works (first time posting an image to the site). The smaller solid circles are the 4" cans, and the larger circles are 6" cans. The graph is equal to one square foot per square (the drawing is to scale). Please note that two of the offices, conference area and kitchen are actually separated by large sliding frosted glass panels. There are 3 panels to each moveable "wall". Each panel is about 4 feet wide, 8 feet tall. The ceilings are 10 feet tall but there is a 2 foot drop to meet the top track of the sliding glass doors. Light passes through the glass as well as it would with the glass doors open. One office is private and has its own door and no sliding glass doors. Note that I did add a third 6" can to the smaller 7 1/2 x 11' room. Any feedback is MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance. Comments (51)Poor guy, I feel bad for him. He must have been embarrassed and worried about how his employer would react. Yea, he should have realized the GPS was giving him bad directions, but I still feel sympathy for him. The photos really helped me understand how he got stuck. That drainage looks like a big part of the problem in that his trailer couldn't clear it and then the narrow road. That is no place for a semi to be! This thread reminds me of the time a Fed Ex truck got stuck in our yard. For some reason, she thought our front yard was a road that passed within three feet of our front door and went flying by at a high rate of speed. Once passed the front door, she became stuck in the gravel behind the house (part of our fire break). Her truck cleared the underside of our deck by less than two inches. Hubby had to pull her out with his backhoe....See MoreHelp designing exterior, lost
Comments (18)Beth, you have the brick on the house. Stone with brick is very popular in Texas so it might be a regional thing. Don’t try to force something on your exterior that doesn’t fit your styling. So there are some beautiful stones that would work well with your brick. Look for some “blends” with colors that work with your brick. Darker color trims “recede” visually so that would be good for your home. Garage doors would be best dark brown or cedar wood stained dark you have to dance with the brick you have. You could do some landscaping tricks that bring more rustic appeal such as a split rail fence on the outside edge of a flower bed from driveway to front porch steps. Climbing white roses on the fence could bring some of your wishes to the design....See Moretatts
