Help me identify this lost old rose
Comments (12)Rosefolly, sadly, this is the only picture I took, I didn't expect to find it torn down when I came back :( Comtessedelacouche, after a little research I am also thinking that it is the Swan Lake rose, I do remember the canes being really thorny and it didn't have a prominent fragrance. About the bloom, the one in the picture was the prettiest one, the others weren't as "perfect" as this one. I also remeber that the petals were really delicate, thin and soft unlike the ones of my other roses, which are a bit thicker. Thank you both for your insight and opinions. I even started to spray insecticide which I never did before, and still they find ways to do some damage (but the spray did help to some extent). The thing is, I was never able to actually see them!! I see some aphids, yes, but never any other insects (apart from bees and ladybugs of course) on my roses. So when I saw this poor guy, I instinctively thought he was the culprit! Lol....See MoreCatherine 9aTX
