Dish Decor for every holiday n season
Comments (8)And to think....I HAD a hutch similar to that in my old house...sold it to the woman who bought my house - cause I needed one Larger with more storage (cabinet doors)... Waaaaaaaaaa!! I love her dish collections and how she changes that hutch with each Season/Holiday...just fabulous. I can tell that besides a love of dish collecting...for her, it's also great 'Therapy' setting it up each time. Thanks Karen...this was a real good one. jane...See MoreFall Decor 2008/ Outside entryway
Comments (16)Whoa....what a difference in the floral arrangement!! It really looks super now! I'm heading off to add it to our album! And Judith is right, you are important. Keep those pictures coming, please. By the way, I don't repaint my Tipsy Pots for the Holidays. Just change the decor in them. I painted them hunter green and sponged some white on the rims, and that seems to work well with any season and Holiday florals I use. I'm too lazy to repaint them, LOL. hugs, Karen...See MoreAccessorizing my hutch. Need some changes?
Comments (33)Great piece. I like it better without anything on the top tho. The tureens are fab, especially like the one on the right in the pic you posted of the two tureens. Very interesting piece. I think decorating a hutch is a personal preference type thing. Pretty much anything you do is going to look great as you are starting with great pieces. I would definitely look into lighting the inside. My breakfront came with lighting and it looks lovely when lit. I pretty much rely on candlight (sticks on the table and tea cart); the lighting in the breakfront and crystal chandelier on a dimmer when we use the dining room. I think it makes for a really nice mood. Who doesn't look good by candlight? Just me, but I change the things in my hutch seasonally. Pretty much the motivator to take things out to dust and clean the shelving. The only thing that pretty much stays the same are my Waterford water goblets. They catch the light and really sparkle. Love the look, and having them within hand's reach makes me use them more often than if they were behind a solid cabinet door. You have a lovely home shee....See Morehow to decorate with dining room hutch
Comments (1)You need to start with some pretty art, either a large piece or 2 matching. Something that speaks to you. Then go from there. Less is better. It’s a very pretty dining room...you don’t need to throw a bunch of trinkets up on top of the buffet just yet....See MoreFlo Mangan
