ceiling fan light in living room
Comments (1)I don't think it would be out of place in New England to find a ceiling fan in the living room as long as it 'fits in' with the decor. In our old house in MA we had two ceiling fans in a large downstairs L shaped room (originally designed as a formal living room/dinning room but we used it as a game room.) We used the fans in the winter in the reverse direction to pull the warmer air down back into the room. I wouldn't worry about how it might affect resale, a ceiling fan is an easy fix even if it does end up looking odd (which I don't think it will)....See MoreHuggar Ceiling Fan in 8' ceiling room??? or not?
Comments (4)We've had ceiling fans in 2 houses, one with 7'8" and another with 7'6". My husband is 6'4" and he has no problem with them hanging over his head. One was over a dining table, I have one over the island in my kitchen, and a small one is in my son's room. They all have hanging lights. I confess I don't care for the look of the lights on them, but we have no AC and they certainly help keep our rooms more comfortable in hot or muggy weather. Of course, S.Carolina gets a lot hotter than Maine....See MoreLiving room ceiling fan situation
Comments (10)I have a ceiling fan with bottom lights ( spot led) with adjustable spots and are removable. We like them. It also has a top light which we use quite often. Fan and lights are 100% remote controlled. It's an Ellington brand. Ellington has several fans without lights, but are light compatible for future consideration. When building this house, I found two of these for $10 each on CL, new in box. The recessed ceiling lights are adjustable eyeball fitted with dimmable Cree LED BR20 bulbs....See Moreceiling fan in living room
Comments (4)If you want a more modern look (love your curved sofa!) you could do brick in a dark gray nearly black tone. Just depends on look you are going for overall. This room deserves a great chandelier....See MoreH L
