why beige at all? We need more info.

I used SW Modern Gray, warm gray beige, with alabaster cabinets.

Patricia, I tend to like tans or greige colors...soft, classic, and definitely warm. I have had Kilm Beige for years with white cabinets and love it! However, now is an opportunity to change the color slightly since we are now in the middle of re-doing our kitchen. Completely gutted so no pics at this time...I will gladly take other suggestions that compliment Alabaster white - our new cabinet and trim color! Thank you!

I have Accessible Beige now and it is a little more Greige than the Softer Tan I had in my old house. Go Softer Tan if you want more Tan. I have White Dove cabinets which are close in color to Alabaster.

I chose Accessible Beige at the suggestion of the decorating forum. Asked for a nice, neutral Greige on the warmer side (more tan than gray) and this was one of the most popular suggestions.

I think in choosing the wall color it is just as important to coordinate the paint with the adjacent rooms and furnishings as it to match the kitchen cabinets. You also need to consider the finishes of the countertops and floors. You might consider using the Alabaster color on the walls also, for a fresher, lighter look.

ILoveRed - thank you! You confirmed exactly what I was thinking! I like a more “greige” than tan, yet still soft and warm. I have light wood (maple butcher block countertops), and am leaning towards Accessible Beige....up till now, I had Kilm beige and loved it, but had it for 10 years! Time for a change, but not TOO far off from it! The only other color competing with AB now is Canvas Tan...more like AB than Softer Tan....thoughts?

Another question (if I may, please!!)...ok, I have decided Alabaster for Cabinets, crown molding, doors, baseboards, and trim (different sheens of course). Accessible Gray for walls...now lastly, what color for ceiling? Should I do Alabaster (in flat of course) as well? Or a whiter ceiling white? Thank you all Soooooo much!

Unless you have very high vaulted ceilings with lots of light, I would use a lighter paint on the ceiling. If you have crown molding, it also allows it to stand out slightly. I might try using the Alabaster at 50% strength, in a flat finish.
