The way the color wheel goes green is the "warmest" of the cool colors and violet is the coolest. The most common theory of warm and color means splitting the color wheel in half and calling half warm and half cool. It's really an oversimplification of color that's not very useful. Perceptually, we don't sense color as a warm and cool continuum from one side of the color wheel to the other. Rather, warm and cool is a spectrum within each hue family. It's more useful, and arguably more accurate, to break out warm and cool in terms that are aligned to how we actually perceive colors. In the case of this color wheel, warm and cool is designated in the context of the human gamut of color - which is all the colors we can see plus colors that can't be seen or made (yet). When we reframe warm and cool in this context, then it's easy to see that there are indeed blues that are warmer compared to other colors in the same hue family (blue). Warm blues, from saturated to grayed, are from about 235° to 252°. you don't want white, and the darker colors, you say, will make it too dark, so that leaves you with light gray or one of those tones. what in the world are those cab made from? and who picked that granite to go w/those cabs? you say you're renting. they're letting you paint those? if they're made of a laminate type of material, the prep work for those will be necessary. quite frankly, I don't think it will look great painted. Do you really want to go through all of the work to paint those? have you ever painted cabinets? It's not something you can do in a weekend. Besides, that wood strip on the cabinets is kind of cool looking. changing out the country style cup pull to more of a bar pull will look better w/that style cabinet I'd leave the cabs and look into gettin a pre-fab, plain white or soft gray, quartz countertop. a 9' piece will cost about $450. fabricator can cut it to fit for another 600-900. maybe less depending on the layout of your kitchen. here's an example of pre-fab quartz, you only posted a small picture. post a pic showing the entire space

I like these pendants. even just with doing the picture, it makes a diff! these are prob at least 14" in diameter. you wouldn't want to go much bigger. the weathered bronze color on the rim goes well w/your cabinets. I gave your the sconces over the shelving. it's prob too late, but I do like them. except I wouldn't do black,I'd do the white w/nickel base. as for the lights elsewhere, they don't have to be expensive. The entryway light is fine. just upgrade your bulbs. if you go to an actual lighting store, they have a ton of bulbs you can choose from. get the LEDs since you can do more wattage for better lighting. IMO I need to see the actual color of the trim.But I rarely would mix warm and cool together . I need pictures for sure and what color walls have you used with the trim.
