Tangerine Flames 2020 j&p intro
Comments (24)Burling just emailed me and my roses are being shipped! We are having a mild winter so far but I have a greenhouse I can put the small plants in if needed. I will report on Cl. Work of Art. I grew it years ago and it is a mini climber with lovely apricot/orange blooms. For whatever reason, it became hard to find - Burling is the only one who apparently grows it - there may be someone else but it was sold out, so am excited to get it. I apologize for changing topics, but I have just been struggling with a sprayer which is brand new and cannot get the thing to work. Its a Flo Master - called the company, they said lubricate the O rings......I have pressure inside but spray barely comes out. Am using Mancozeb which is diluted and like water in the tank. I asked this question on the rose forum but while there is activity on this thread, I would really like to know what kind of sprayer you all use. I have had the best luck with hand sprayers but they wear out quickly. Very frustrating to get started on a project [spraying all my roses today with 70 degree weather] and the sprayer wont work. Maybe I just need to shell out and buy an expensive one.......but would sure appreciate knowing what you all use. Thanks!! Judi...See MoreSo-Sz S daylilies 2020
Comments (39)Sherry , you have some really lovely blooms there . There is not a one I wouldn't love to have in my gardens . I did add Sunday Sandals in 2016 .....Still have not seen a bloom believe it or not . Guess I better move it this year to see if I can't get it to budge and maybe bloom . If not as pretty as it appears to be .....out it goes. Stone Palace Divine makes me drool . Now I know that one is not available here nor is it available from the grower in New York that I am ordering from this year. Darn it ! MaryL , love both your yellows but I do lean more toward the school bus yellow of Stroke of Brilliance Nancy 6b I wish Stellas Ruffled Fingers wasn't so short . It really is lovely. Subtle Knife .....yum ! Hoosier_Nan I like both Sweet Cerise and State of Happiness . It is too bad Sweet Cerise doesn't do well for you . I love the bitone look Perenn.all love the look of your Stella Stars but I can't find any registration info for it ? Brad I grow many that you show here and love them all but Sugar Magnolia is lovely and I had not see Celeste I love your Storm Track and Spirit of the Dove, Space Junk and Southport Delight I especially like that Southport is a late bloomer . Debra , Ok you have to stop this ! I am unable to choose among your images. I want them ALL!!!!!!!!!! Lilykate, what a glorious bunch of blooms . Favs? Well , lets see . I LOVED seeing your Stardust Dragon as I added this one late last season . Haven't seen it bloom yet so this just gets my motor running with excitement of what is to come. Now I have to add Swedish Girl and Stippled Starburst ( oh my! ) to my list of "Can I find them here daylilies " Sun Bear is one I have been considering adding here and I know is available , so nice to see a decent image of it growing in someone's real garden and image that has not been doctored for sales purposes Hate to be the one to bring this up but the image for Stargate Portal did not show up above . Would love to see it please. I grow that one here and would love to be able to compare your image to my blooms . Lastly Stop the Show is so so pretty ! Hadn't heard of that one before . Now I have to see if I can hunt it down ....See MoreFavorite Patterned Daylilies of 2020
Comments (22)Sherry - I've always liked Mage Quest. Don't you have Gently Down the Stream too? I used to have Gently Down the Stream but gave it away because it looked so much like Millennium Falcon. Nancy - My Heart Belongs to Daddy usually has a much thinner edge. It only looked like that for two days last summer. Maybe that happened when temps were so cool. Kay said hers has never shown that much of the pattern. Brad - Thanks for your comments. Neither Secre Sentinel or Cobraskin Necktie is planted in a good place here. I wish I had sunnier spots for both, since I'd like to see them at clump strength. As it is, they are multiplying slowly and don't have many buds. Debra...See MoreFavorite Toothy Daylilies of 2020
Comments (19)Nancy - I do like the looks of Coach's Magic Man. I'm very fond of all purples with teeth. Shark Infested Waters is a pretty red. Are the teeth white on that one? I have one more toothy cultivar that I forgot previous times, probably because it's my least favorite. But it is a great performer and usually has 20 buds or more. Cretaceous Crunch I do have a sort of pretty seedling out of it that has a few teeth on the edge. Cretaceous Crunch x Julie Newmar Debra...See Moresherrygirl zone5 N il
