Grab bar located on side of vanity...
Comments (4)If you have the width available, you can get a toilet safety rail at this website (I've used the company, but not this particular product so I don't know how well it works): http://support-mobility.drleonards.com/Support-Mobility/Bathroom-Aids/Toilet-Safety-Rail/25163.cfm One of the most intriguing products to hit the market is this product called a Super-pole. I saw this product in one of my catalogs, but it's not available there so I found something similar. I just Googled this company, I don't know anything about it. Plus, they seem to have other helpful aids as well: http://www.plumbingproducts.com/healthcraft.html...See Moretask bar & start menu location

Comments (3)Thank you for your reply, we did tell the kitchen designer that we wanted the bottom of the coffee maker to be at counter height. But she emailed us the plans back for our approval with the trim piece of cabinet that goes between the top of coffee maker and the bottom of microwave centered between the upper cabinets and the countertop (making the middle of the coffee maker almost level with countertop). Hope this makes sense.:) We will have 9'1 ceilings in the kitchen and the cabinets will be double stacked with glass uppers with a small crown going to the ceiling, so we should be able to fit both the microwave and the coffee maker in a custom cabinet, hmmmm. If we have the coffee maker at counter level, is it ok to have the microwave below counter height? Or should we stick with the designers plan to meet them in the middle but have the coffee maker above the microwave? I think this whole cabinet designing is going to fun since so far looking at the drawing she never listen to anything we said, lol....See MoreLocation of Filtered Water Tap: Main 60/40 Sink? Or Veg Prep/Bar Sink?
Comments (13)acauley, you've now spent some time thinking this through (BTW, I used to have poor well water - a lot of iron so I understand why you have a filter!), and it seems like you've come up with the best solution. I don't consider a dedicated tap as 'bling' if this is something you use daily and need (such as yourself) and I would definitely want hot and cold at the prep (I too thought only cold at the prep until I gave it thought). I see no problems with putting them at 10 and 2. I think I'd rather have the faucet at 12 to go directly in the drain with the tap offset in a square sink, but then again, this might restrict the swivel of some faucet necks, particularly in a round sink. So 10 and 2 are probably best in your solution. Also, have you considered putting in a disposal at your prep? Even if you compost, they are pretty indispensable for veggie prep. Below are 2 photos to give examples of what yours might look like: Showing faucet and I assume a tap at about 10 and 2... I think this looks rather nice Showing faucet at 12 with sprayer (like a tap kinda!) offset - if that's a swivel faucet neck looks like it'd bump into a tall tap dispenser which would create a problem I wish you luck in your reno!...See Morebpath
