kiagarden-- That one is also pine T&G above the tub. I WISH I could use it all year long ! It does get used year round, but by its owner. :-) I just installed the tile. The gentleman who owns it owns his own logging company up here, In fact, it's his company that clears most of the lots for the new construction that I work on. You can see the date stamp on the pics is from about 5 years ago, and I can tell you-- this guy isn't shy. If there was a problem, I would've been called to redo the tile after he was done fixing the wood. So I think I can safely say it's still in good shape. :-)

Karen, I love the T&G and the antique soap box with twigs. Have you considered an Adirondack-style mirror above the vanity? It's rustic without being country cutesy, and would be so compatible. There are many styles and materials, i.e., birch bark, hickory, twigs, etc. Some incorporate colors that could be picked up in other parts of the house. Here's one example, but there are dozens if you do a google search for "rustic Adirondack mirrors".

thank you, Karenseb! Lol, it's crazy what we go through to gain just a few spare inches in our bathrooms! Yes, I think I will take your and Nancyinmich's advice, and stick with the layout I have currently, by using the current vanity area as shelving/storage cabinet. And maybe change doorway opening. I'll add a single sink with side drawers on the opposite wall. Toilet will stay put, I'll look at that round Toto Drake. I think the widest vanity that I could put in there is 64"? The wall is 94" and I need 15 inches on either side of the wall and vanity. (measured from the center of the toilet - and for sake of planning I'll base this on measurements of the Toto Drake which is just shy of 20" wide).

You know, some people are renters for a long, long time. I own rentals and am delighted when a renter proposes to improve the place and happy to pay for some of the materials and/or work. At least it shows that they care about their home and don't destroy it. Also, I don't know where you are, but in some areas, buying is pretty much out of the question. Back to the topic, I even think if you use a color that is not white, pastel or gray, preferably a dark color, the beige may not even be noticeable.
