where should i hang this mirror? pics inside
Comments (11)I would've said next to the dresser, too -- because that's where it seems more natural light is (a little more than near the end table because it's not on the same wall). But, since there's already a full-size mirror next to the dresser, why hang another mirror nearby? It's pretty, but why is it really needed? Clearly the nightstand looks kind of alone there, but is there something else that would be more useful for that wall space? How old is your daughter? Does she read in bed? Is there small wall light that we don't see? Maybe a wall light or lamp is needed there? And the nightstand is looking full of stuff now. Maybe she needs some small shelves above it instead? I just can't see her getting much use of another mirror there if she has a full-length one nearby. Sure, it'd be decorative, but it would seem to me to be redundant. (Or what about artwork there? Maybe something she's created?)...See MoreHanging sconces above fireplace
Comments (20)You are very welcome rjinga. I only used Paint which comes with windows for your virtual. It's easier to use for simple things like moving something around. If you want to change color and have the items shadings show through you can't do it with paint. Well not the version I have with Windows Vista anyway. I'm curious if there will be any changes to it on Windows Seven. Seems a friend that's son has it said there were some good changes. My cold is causing my brain to freeze up right now. Not to mention my hubby at the last of the cream pumpkin cake a friend made for us since I've been designing her kitchen. I never bake so it's nice getting "paid" this way! Comments (11)Top of the artwork on both sides should form a straight horizontal line. In this case I would make that a small but noticeably lower than the top of the TV. Because you are framing the fireplace with the same chair I would continue the symmetry with your pictures. In this case 2 on each side. They don't have to be the same pictures but they should relate. I'd also suggest making all the picture frames a darker tone to provide contrast to your wall color. Just my take, I'm a fan of symmetry when you can make it. It's more soothing on the eye....See MoreWhere do I hang a new mirror in my asymmetrical foyer?
Comments (7)Thanks acm. That is partly why I put a shoe basket to the right, and I was thinking about an umbrella stand for the left corner! There is adequate space for one. decoenthusiaste, I guess I messed that one up. In all my searching for mirrors, I didn't come across any info. that specified 75%. I was trying use a larger decorative element, since in the past I've gone too small. I can't return the mirror at this point, so will have to see how it looks. It's a family home, so I strive for better, but not perfect. I do appreciate the info. though. :)...See Morelisaam
