IKEA countertop...sales?
Comments (8)aloha2009 in general the "big" sales are far enough apart in time that they don't make any sense to wait for. If you wanted to wait for the countertop purchase, talk to a head person at that Ikea. They can make any deal they want to make; this can include a handwritten guarantee made to you that you will get store credit if you find out later that you would have qualified for a large discount by buying the cabs drawers and counter at Ikea during some future "event." If you ever did buy $1500 worth of drawers and then found out you could have saved $200 by buying months later, you have two choices. One is to say who cares it's only pennies a fraction of the total cost. Another choice is to line up, buy all the same drawers again, and then line up at the return counter with your few-months-old receipt to get store credit for that amount which is larger than the sale price of the day. Not optimal. Besides, the cabs and drawers are very low-price to begin with. They are worth buying at the moment you need them. For a countertop you might try negotiating your time+price guarantee. Comments (42)Not surprising. I am hearing endless reports of people having trouble getting all the stock they need. So thankful I got my KD/installer to buy early - or I very well could have had to delay. Really sorry for those people who are having supply issues. hey I wanted to share this guy's videos - he had some really good tips, for anyone thinking about Sektion in the future... https://youtu.be/ee8ORgNrYAw https://youtu.be/569rakCCvmU...See MoreUpcoming Citrus Purchase--Advice?
Comments (40)I wanted to lift my greenhouse up so bad this year per Brian's idea and just stick my trees in there instead of heating up the porch besides and paying a humungus electric bill this coming winter. Then I could let mine grow tall too) But, ever year I have to cut them back down at least a couple of feet to the point where I am growing big Bonsai trees..lol If I had let mine grow as tall as they would like, most of mine would be at least ten feet tall after all these years..I wish(...See MoreIKEA Kitchen Sale 2018?
Comments (170)I got 20% off (tiered, based on amount only) in summer 2014. We did happen to buy one appliance, a dishwasher, but it wasn't required to get the full discount. It was also the last year before they switched from Akurum to Sektion, which may have had a lot to do with it. I haven't watched *every* sale since then, but I have been pretty aware of most of them, and have purchased during sales twice in the last two years, since we moved to our new house and started renovating. It has maybe hit 20% once, but if it did, it was with gift cards, not an instant discount. And I'm not totally sure it did, to be honest. I think 15% is about as high as they seem to be going now. No appliance purchases have been required in the sales I purchased, though. (Summer 2017, and again in fall 2017, when we got a retroactive price adjustment for quartz countertops we purchased in Sept.) We purchased more for our final project just a couple of weeks ago, and will be hitting them up for another price adjustment as soon as the sale starts. I'm in the States....See MoreRelated Professionals
