Fisher Paykel Refrigerators
Comments (23)Hi, Redhead. We've had ours for a month or so, so not a long history. We like it so far, even though we are still learning where things go-- I didn't realize how ingrained the tracks in my brain were until the 20th time I found myself standing in front of an open fridge wondering if the milk went on the right door or the left one... We had almost no choice in fridges if we did not want to rip out a wall of cabinets. I had no idea that refrigerators had grown so tall in recent years, but apparently they have. The guys at the appliance store told us they sell a lot of F&P to people in Seattle with old houses for that very reason. A friend of mine did the same, only she chose the single door rather than french door. She is happy with it as well. I just hope they hold up over time-- too soon to tell....See Morefisher and paykel refrigerator
Comments (7)We decided that it wasn't a good idea to replace our 32" fridge with another one and be locked into that floor plan with our new cabinets. Our only choice for a 36" FP had water in the door, and I didn't want to have to clean water drips off the front of a SS fridge. I like the clean look of no door contraptions. The appliance store's independent repairman didn't have as much experience with FP, and I worried about how long it'd take to get parts. Their flippant email sealed the deal for me. We looked at Samsung, Kitchenaid, GE, LG, and the Whirlpool line, but the Electrolux looked much more solidly built in comparison. We've had it a year. The stainless cleans beautifully, it's quiet except when ice drops, and the bins and deli drawer glide out as smooth as our cabinet drawer glides. The freezer is very roomy. With CD, I think you have to go to a 36". It's just the two of us and the 36" is sometimes too crowded, especially the fresh produce bins. Try fitting a head of lettuce, a bag of apples, and a bunch of celery in it! The door can get crowded too, and I'm a one salad dressing/one jam kind of girl, so I'm not talking a lot of bottles....See MoreFisher and Paykel refrigerator
Comments (6)Thanks Lee for the update. you and I are looking at the same two fridges. I was leaning toward the Bosch because of the freezer draws and it seems to be a good fit for my space. When it becomes available locally I will take a look at both and see which one looks more functional in person. Was originally going to go with the Kitchen aid but there are quite a few negative reviews and it sent me back to the drawing board. Please post when you make a decision and let us know if you are happy with your choice. Happy shopping....See MoreHas anyone else had similar experience with Fisher Paykel Quad Fridge?
Comments (6)"I set the fridge to 34 degrees Celsius" You mean 34 degrees fahrenheit. You'd be cooking the food at 34 degrees celsius. I put one of these Elitech RC-5 USB Temperature Data Logger in my refrigerator to see how it was performing. The Elitech GSP-6G Digital Temperature Humidity Data Logger with Detachable Buffered Probe would be a better choice as you could view the internal termperature without opening the door and the buffered problem would, I think, prevent rapid (and misleading) changes in readings when one did open a door for a few seconds. You could move the probes to various locations inside the refrigerator....See MoreUser
