I live in barrie, on. I inherited 2 of the same spirea from previous owners. Word of caution; this can become very large, spreading & invasive. If you have a large area for it, it is quite nice. But if you are trying to keep it contained in a smaller garden or yard, it will become a problem. I removed one last year & I think the other one will go at the end of the season. It has spread suckering roots 10 ft from its planted location. It's near a patio & the roots are trying to grow through the cracks.

Try the Name that Plant forum and give a good close up of the leaves, needles or whatever they are. Pics are too far away.

Might be a viburnum, too. Viburnum opulus or Viburnum trilobum or something like that. In which case it will be a largish shrub and part shade is probably fine. I don't think they're real picky.

The first is possibly a Viburnum species & the second Ageratina altissima.
