Please critique my kitchen cabinet design
Comments (17)Wall ovens in a bad place. Fridge should be moved to the outside for accessibility to others in the kitchen without intruding into the work zone. The ovens have no landing zone to set a hot pan of something to check it's temp, etc. Agree with that area being too "heavy". I think it LOOKS Like you have a lot of room but you will prep between the sink and cooktop and you will feel enclosed and cramped (by Mrs Pete's 'always outs'). AND you'll be booking the dishwasher. A 2d plan with measurements and how this room related to others will get your more relevant feedback. Right now - this one does not feel cohesive or well thought out from a "how does a kitchen really work" standpoint....See MoreIts me again....Refining Kitchen Cabinet design looking for input
Comments (8)I like your new design a lot. Not a pro or expert, I think the pullouts would be fine near the range. i am wondering about your far left cabinet next to the fridge. is that your pantry? You have drawers, then a small middle cabinet, then a tall top cabinet, and at The very top glass. Are the long top parts full depth (24”)? Are they pullouts or just cabinets? my concern is that the middle cabinet is too small to be really useful (or are those just big doors designed to look like separate cabinets)? Also if not pullouts the 24“ depth may be tough as things will get lost in the back. I’d personally want either shallower uppers (and maybe combine the middke and top to be 1 larger cabinet), or full pull outs....See Morekitchen cabinet design dilemma
Comments (19)@dan1888 I didn’t post the whole layout since it’s still being configured and rendered. Final measurements were taken yesterday, now that demo is completed. I was trying my best to center range with island. The new 33 inch sink now is centered with the big 70 inch window? To right of window is 12 inches then wall. Should I not center the sink there? The L-shape is about 225 1/8 by 119.5. There will be an island. But it begins with like a 25 by 25 big chimney (left side kinda in front of left of range) that was unable to be removed. Exact island measurements were taken today now that chimney is only thing standing in the room between kitchen and dining room Things needed: —coat closet even small one Previous one was 21 inches. But was in the wall that was removed. So to left of oven in pic above now is the coat closet and next to that the pantry. —need a pantry Appliances purchased: —36 thermador range — column thermador -24 inch fridge and 24 inch column freezer (counterdepth) —24 inch under cabinet fridge drawers —dishwasher thermador 24 inch —24 inch thermador micro drawer —33 inch Kohler whitehaven...See MoreHelp with kitchen cabinet design with very tall vaulted ceilings!
Comments (15)@cpartist Thanks! Also thank you for the comment about the dining area. It will be tight, but thinking 22 inches for the built-in bench with a 36-inch table that overhangs the built-in bench by 5 inches. So that is a grand total of 53 inches and the whole width of the space is 89 inches - that leaves 36 inches for the opposite side of table. When chairs are in use, yes - there won't really be a walking space behind them. Maybe I could make the eating bar 24" wide rather than the current 28 inches wide to help?...See MoreMichelle misses Sophie
