Comments (43)Tammy (zone 5/6 southern Ontario) I'm in zone 5a, how is the winter survival of Port Sunlight compared to Elle? Thanks for any info. If someone else know about the hardiness of the above, please let me know. Much appreciated....See More2020 Color Thread: LAVENDER/MAUVE/PURPLE
Comments (59)Hi Carol, I'm following you around the forum, I guess. We're the two night owls--but I had a huge nap late in the evening, so now, of course, I'm wide awake. It was a nice day today--92F, actually, and tomorrow will be cooler yet. Then we have a high of 70F. Can you believe that? We're going into the season of up and down weather. But it's still horribly dry with no rain since May. I feel so badly for California and their awful fires. Over 4000 lightening strikes started the whole mess, and since Aug 15, 1.25million acres have burned, plus five deaths and 3500 structures destroyed. As you can guess, I read all this earlier in the day. We have lucked out with just a few smaller fires this season. I agree with your daughter about fall and allergies--they do get better. I suffer from them, too. Anyway, we had a nice BBQ, and my granddaughter Clare was over. She's feeling better, but the covid mess has been very hard on her. She actually had it, and has been over the stuff for several weeks now. What a relief. Have a nice day tomorrow. I don't suppose Canada has a Labor Day holiday tomorrow. Every day is pretty much the same around here. Diane...See More2020 Color Threads: Bi-Color, Multi-Color, Stripe, etc.

Comments (82)11-4-2020 The native L. laricina here have been exceedingly slow in loosing their needles and have been colored for weeks. My only specimen was mostly green until it warmed up into the 60's & 70's recently. No sun to brighten it up but here's 'Larry'. :-) Can't believe I was watering trees in November. :-o...See MoreVaporvac Z6-OhioRiverValley
