Got the fixture up but had to stop because one of the "thousand" glass balls is broken, so will have to call to get a replacement ball before we can continue assembling it. When we bought this light we also bought another light for the laundry room. It is one of those flush LED fixtures. Paid $39 at Costco, saw the exact same light at one of the big box stores (Rona) today and it was priced at $66! What a great save at Costco.

I'm sorry but both of those areas look well lit. He needs task lighting, overhead lighting will just create shadows, He needs a good desk lamp. Now if you are replacing them because you dont like them, there are literally 10000's of choices so find the one you like for the office and then go about looking around for one that works with it for the hall.............

Some recessed lighting, drop a deco fixture in the middle for style and add some task lighting to the desk, without seeing the room, picking fixtures is subject to the overall style so seeing the room would help us, and if its not built yet dont pick the fixtures until you pick some of the furnishings.
