Need help choosing window blinds.
Comments (2)Brought all my cellular shades at Home Depot online! They cut all them to size and you can pick them up at the store or they will mail them to your home. The length were all standard size. I thought it would not look right at frist but they are so thin that a 64" length on a 48" window length was fine. I save around $1,200 not including installation costs! Installation was slow for the first cellular shade and then you progress in speed. I could do a shade including unboxing the shade, drilling the holes, screw in the attachments and putting the shade into the brackets in about 5-10 minutes time. It was very enjoyable after the 4th one. You are sort of like a robot after that! I did 23 windows! I just used two small battery operated drills; one for drilling the 1/16" pilot hole for the mounting brackets and another drill for screwing in the screws. Both were the super small lithium 12" volt type drills....See MoreHelping my parents w/ whole-house remodel; 5 questions I need help on

Comments (4)not all of the paints come in all of the finishes. So if you want eggshell you may need to use that paint line. I was pushed into Satin finish because of the paint line selection from SW. I'm happy with it, not shiny in the lighter colors but doesn't scuff as easily as a matte finish would....See MoreI need help choosing a paint colour for the whole house.
Comments (6)Hi Lisa, Consider the market that you are trying to appeal to. Is this area being bought up by empty nesters? Are young families gobbling it up for the education district? Actually format a buyer profile and cater you decisions to that. If it's an older market, I recommend staying away from grey undertone colours. These colours can appear more bleak and drab to oder eyes. Being as the home has honey oak floors, my go to recommendation for clients with similar floors is Benjamin Moore's Balboa Mist. It is modern, fresh and is neutral enough to go with everything. Will you be painting the trim? Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace is a trim favourite of mine. It has enough of a blue undertone to make the white pop and looks lovely when paired with Balboa Mist. (don't let the blue reference scare you, it's a trained eye thing) Good Luck & Happy Painting!
