Comments (9)Sorry about no pics above, I deleted those in Photobucket by mistake. Here is a new pic, updated with the jingle bell, buttons and rusty tin stars on the eggs. I got the picket fence box at Home Goods, cheap. They had another one and I now wish I had grabbed it when I got this one cause I went back and now it's gone. The carrots and bunny I got on eBay and have since made my own. The bunny is made from "Warm & Natural" and stuffed with Fiberfill. The carrots are made from Felt. They are grungy looking and I believe they are made with a coffee stain or maybe that Walnut Gel stain mixed with "Stiffy" as they are hard. Another site on eBay had the greens for the carrots made from green plaid fabric torn strips. I'll guess those were first stitched up the sides, stuffed with Fiberfill, then a running stitch around the top opening, insert the green plaid strips for the greens and/or use green raffia, then pull the running stitch tight to hold the greens in. I used green Spanish Moss in the crate. I should pull some of it through the fence slats. I must be honest, I got the inspiration for this from a site on eBay. For the eggs, I picked up a few "quilter's squares" at Joann's. -- Sal...See Morecross post-opinions on bath decorative mirror quality
Comments (5)I don't think quality of a bath mirror is important. Some things that are inexpensive "look" cheap. But many mirrors that are not expensive look great. I just saw one in WalMart last week for about $50.00 and I think it looked really good! I sometimes see expensive mirrors that you couldn't pay me to hang in my bath! So, go with what you like. You can change them out when you tire of them if they weren't expensive to begin with. I find I feel "stuck" when I pay a lot for something and do tire of it. Like "I spent so much on that, i have to keep it" mentality. LOL! Get what you want, at whatever price you are comfortable paying. No one will be in your bath with a magnifying glass to check the quality of that beautiful frame. :o) Happy shopping!...See Morelooking for opinions with decorating!
Comments (10)"Yes, he was married then, but drinks with the 'fans' is apparently something his wife has to put up with." Totally OT, but I was friends years ago with a woman whose husband was in the NBA. She commented to me that one reason she thought they had stayed married is that she did NOT tolerate that kind of thing! Said that unlike a lot of the basketball wives, she made it a point to go with her man whenever and wherever she could. She told me that groupies for pro athletes were everywhere and that was aside from their own, um, tendencies if they had any toward tomcatting about. It was an interesting perspective, for sure. And whatever she is doing must work because he's retired and coaching at a university level and they are happily still married....See MoreYour opinion on the decorating
Comments (5)The two chairs in the first photo appear to be in a hallway of some sort, based on the photo with the leather sofa and loveseat. If I am looking at this correctly, my question is: why would there be a seating space there? Why would someone want to sit there with their back to the window, facing the back of the loveseat, and the two chairs not positioned for people to face one another and talk?...See MoreSammy
