Picking a comforter would look good with my rug?
Comments (16)I was just going to recommend the pleated puckered ones from west elm. I think they'd add some nice texture and movement without a pattern. On my monitor the background looks like the green leans very gray-- if so, I think a liter gray would be great. If your husband wants darker, I'd be tempted to give a go at finding a turquoise that matches or is at least tonal. Yes, it will be hard to match but it's an on trend color and you have plenty of options. I have bought a few comforters and throws from The Company Stores recently for dorm room gifts-- and I'll say that their colors tend to be a little darker/less bright than photographed. I think it would be worth trying them-- and I've always had good luck with their quality. Based on my experience with the same line (I bought purple), I'd try the Prussian Blue.. again, no promises on color so make sure they have a great/easy return policy.. but i think it could work for you and make a stunning room. Here is a link that might be useful: Prussian Blue comforter...See MoreWhat would look good in this space?
Comments (20)It had a quality control issue. The buttons were sticking because there was a manufacturing defect on some internal parts behind the buttons. The installer didn't mention it to me until it was already installed, so it was too late to send it back for an exchange. It took 3 weeks for it to be fixed since the part was on back order. The manufacturer sent a tech out from a local appliance repair company to diagnose it and then replace the part under warranty. Zephyr support never responded to email even after waiting several days for a reply, so I had to call during their business hours to get the service scheduled. It's fixed now and looks great and works really well, but it's louder at the top several speed levels than I expected. The highest speed is 800+ CFM which is more than double the air flow for about the same amount of noise as the microwave hood I had made on high. So, at least it's moving a lot of air with that noise. It doesn't include a backdraft damper, so you need to order one if you don't already have one installed. Bulbs are included (which is not always the case for range hoods), but you may want to replace them LEDS so it runs cooler and saves power. You can almost use the halogens as heat lamps when on the bright setting....See MoreDo you think this would look good in my front hall?
Comments (12)It's too small. Only 4" between each hook. Agree, look on etsy. Umbra makes these "Birdie Hooks", 3 for $17. You can buy as many as you need and place them anywhere on the wall. Magnet under the beak holds keys. While not a bird theme hook, Umbra also makes a really great flip hook where you can pull down the hook you want to use and push it back up when you don't want to use it, and you can space the hook use as you need it. I'm planning on a getting one for coats for a kitchen nook. In your place, I'd get either the longest (36") or two or three of the smaller ones and place them at different heights and spaces. Birds: These come in different lengths and colors...See MoreWhat chandelier would look good over my stairs/catwalk?
Comments (10)Hard to tell from the photo, but it seems to me the hallway/stairwell is fairly narrow. Instead of a chandelier which might overpower the space, think about putting larger wall sconces at the top of the landing and near the bottom of the stairs....See MoreAC LB
