If your aloe does not recover, keep in mind you can return it at Walmart. Walmart's practice is to NOT water any of their perennials. The store is reimbursed for plants that die, so it loses no money, but it takes money to pay an employee to water, so plants purchased there are often in irreversible shape, but I have "rescued" some from there. Thank you so much for replying cactusmcharris 4! My mother Aloe has a few (very few) white/yellow roots and the pup's roots seemed to be all brown. I did read the Aloe FAQs, but I was scared to try to reroot without getting some more knowledgeable advice first since the plants have been stressed and are so sick right now. I am really unsure how to reroot as well since it is from root rot and not just a pup I am trying to split. Do I cut above all the roots into the stem? Also, I replanted yesterday and the center of both plants already have a healthier shade of green now, can they recover if I don't cut the rest of the roots off or is that a death sentence?

Dents you cannot correct. Now I am going to tease you-don't iron them. Many species get bad points from too much water, (often this will be cut off in order to keep the plant neat so they can sell it), check out your soil, size of pot, see what things this group will suggest. I never have grown this species in a pot. They grow wild - in the ground here where I live, thely also get quite large. I don't believe that they can be grown year- round where you live. I don't know if they can be grown in the house. Norma

Wioleta I agree with kwie, they will most likely be better outside. I am in Ontario, Canada, much colder than you. All my succulents go outdoors as soon as temps stay constantly about 10*C. Many can take even lower temps, but I do not want to bother bringing them in in case of frost. Even in less sun, light outdoors is always more intense than indoors. So it would be of benefit to any plant to be outside if you have any available outdoors space. If you use lots of perlite and some horticultural grit in potting mix, plant will be OK even on rainy days as excess water will drain out fast. If many days of non stop rain, it could be easily protected by using sun umbrella if available, or putting a sheet of plastic over the plants, or moving under some roof or inside. I never had to move plants indoors for that reason (but have used plastic sheet couple of times).
