Office plants, Help and ID's?
Comments (7)"I could ASK for the money to provide new soil and the space and time on the clock to do it." I would. If somebody cared enough to supply the place with plants, they should have an interest in keeping them alive. Do you know who to talk to? I happened to document when I repotted my Mom's D. fragrans recently. Since there's no seasons inside a building like that, I would do it soon if possible before it's too cold outside. If all you can do is add a bit more soil, try to get it under the roots, not on top. If you have someone pick up the plant from fairly low on the trunk, it should come out cleanly, leaving an empty pot on the floor. Then you can add soil to the bottom and replace the plant. With so little existing soil, a repot wouldn't be that messy and should only take about 10-20 mins per plant....See Morehouseplant ID help
Comments (9)yes It's Peperomia obtusifolia, they are capable of being attacked, Peperomias in general are not very susceptible to insect infestations of any kind, which makes them that much more desirable as indoor plants. While researching for information, I also discovered that one of the things these plants can suffer from is a plant virus called ringspot. http://rezvanflower.ir...See MoreCan you help me ID these 2 houseplants?
Comments (13)Apologies for the delay in reply. That photo was taken when the plant had been in place for ~5-10 years. Here's a dodgy pic I took on install, which gives you an idea of shape but not colour. I'd actually ordered a basic surculosa and got this.... Incidentally, there is another sort of Surculosa called a Pubescens, but they are not very attractive. Plainer green and rather stiff. Again, I've only had them when asking for a Surculosa and getting one as a substitute......See MoreUnknown houseplant need help with Id
Comments (7)Aglaonema modestum. I think it's considered an heirloom, since only the variegated cultivars can be found in stores nowadays. "Aglaonemas are originally found in the tropical areas of Southeast Asia. Probably the first Aglaonema grown was Aglaonema modestum. Modestum is seldom seen today and is limited to collectors.
