Greased Lightening cleaner
Comments (9)I can only tell you this: I left a bottle of Greased Lightening on my hall floors. Natural Red oak, no stain, water based finish (satin). I did not realize the bottle had a small hole in the bottom, and it left almost black round rings on my floors. I am just sick about this. The stain cannnot be removed. I think I would have to replace the floor boards to get rid of the stain. I had left the cleaner on the floor for a few days. Lazy and stupid, yes. But I did not realize there was a small pin sized hole in the bottom. That being said, if you were to use this cleaner on the cabinets; do not let it drip and clean them immediately. They do a great job on my white cabinets and on the grease on the range hood. The OP was correct, I also have problems with breathing it in as I have athma. So, spray, let it sink in a few moments, and paper towel it off. If you are worried about your wood cabinets further, you might want to call the company to inquire. Google for a number, or leave a message here for me and I will see what the label says about contact info....See MoreBaked on Grease on Enamel Stove Top
Comments (19)There are many great ideas in these posts and sure I will adoped some of them. But I had the exact same problem you described on the black surface of my gas stove top. After years of thinking it was the result of using wrong cleaning agents I had time to spare being by myself at home. I just had used one of the strong threeangled shop racerblades for a different task and took a look how these would work on my stove top. It worked perfect! My stove looks really brand new. The trick is to hold the ! new blade with some work gloves in both hands in less then about 45 degree angle and easing up the pressure by scraping over the staines. I was able to even get all the rounded areas cleaned of with out one scratch on the enamel....See MoreA really good bathtub cleaner?
Comments (7)Yes the original blue dawn detergent and vinegar. Works great. Tub and Shower Magic there you go the directions. I used the extra strength cleaning vinegar which is not the same as your normal vinegar, I found it with the cleaning supplies. what I have done in areas that were really bad was spray it on then put a bounty paper towel over the area and spray the paper towel till soaked and leave it on like that for an hour or so that holds it on it and lets it soak in....See MoreNew Absolute Black Owner - Method Cleaner not working!
Comments (2)cmm6797, We've just had Honed AB installed and haven't begun to use it yet. Like you I bought Method Granite cleaner as well and it seemed to clean the finger prints left behind from our working on the kitchen quite nicely. I was hoping the same would be true when we started to use it. Did you have yours sealed and is it honed or polished? I knew what I was getting into buying AB and just hoped that I would be one of the lucky ones without issues. Thanks for posting. I'm anxious to hear what others have to say as well. Good Luck with yours....See Moresushipup1
