I have Crepescule on another section of fence and I love it and it is a repeat bloomer and has few thorns. Peggy Martin is thornless and has a heavy, long spring bloom and an occasional bloom in the fall. Lady Banks are very nice, but I removed mine because the bloom period is so very brief in the spring. One thing you may want to consider when you are doing a mass planting is to look for roses that are self-cleaning, (drop their petals freely). A mass of dried up blooms can be really unattractive and deadheading heading rows of these blooms is a chore. Molly...See MoreMunstead Wood - 2019 - Zone 8B
Comments (7)I love Munstead Wood, even if the plant itself can be a bit difficult - the gorgeous, fragrant flowers make up for it’s faults! And, I agree that something about the color is difficult to photograph....See MoreCharlotte - 2019 - Zone 8B

I loved his blooms, could put up with some mottled foliage from RMV, but somehow DA’s on Dr. Huey have had more diseases than any other roses. I certainly don’t need the extra vigor from grafting in my small yard. I’ll bet the Love Song standards are beautiful! The blooms are large, and the color is so eye catching. I did once purchase a Love Song standard at my local nursery. I left it potted too long, and it wasn’t properly watered while I was out of town. In spite of my attempts to revive it, only rootstock came back from the base. Hopefully you get to enjoy your Love Song at the neighbor’s house, Kitty. It’s a wonderful rose in our climate. My older Love Song(that I still grow) was purchased locally, so it was large and a good rebloomer from the start. Lisa...See Moreflowersaremusic z5 Eastern WA
