Need help with Foyer Chandelier.....
Comments (7)Hi, Thanks for all the help with the size of the chandelier...I'm also thinking that alittle bigger is better than smaller. I just needed to hear it from someone else other than my husband!! I've also done the link thing so I'm hoping that it works. If not, it's a Varaluz product and the collection is Soho. I'm interested in the 9 light fixture. My foyer does not have a window...one less issue to deal with. The other thing is getting an electrician over to change out the box and hang the thing. My husband is not handy!! Again thanks for the input...Barbara Here is a link that might be useful: Chandelier...See MoreHelp with Chandelier in Foyer
Comments (30)Have you chosen your stair railing yet? wood balusters? wrought iron? cables? stainless? What about the finish on the track hardware for the barn door - black or stainless? Those decisions may affect whether to lean toward traditional or contemporary for the chandelier. After choosing a stainless steel stair railing, I selected the Moooi Heracleum II LED fixture for my foyer and a Minka Aire pancake ceiling fan in brushed nickel for the living room. Here are some other fixtures I considered: The next two chandeliers have an industrial / contemporary look. The square shapes would match with your upper windows....See MoreFoyer Chandelier Help
Comments (24)I’m sorry Leanna if you thought I was being preachy. Hard lessons learned:(. I know you have already spent a lot of money. I had a similar situation many years ago in a home we bought with a wall separating two rooms. I insisted it come down; hubby and Contracter said it can’t! The ceiling will fall down! I said fine, either way I’m not living in this house with that wall so figure it out! One lam beam later I moved in! Beverly gave you a wonderful solution to your dilemma. I know it came too late as you have already spent so much in the adjoining room! A consolation for not so much money could have saved you this headache. That was for future advice. Get a price on what it would take to do what you know you want....See MoreChandelier and foyer dilemma help
Comments (0)We need help deciding on what type of chandelier for our tall sloped ceiling and what to hang on the walls of our foyer. You can see the chandelier from the foyer. It needs to provide enough light but not be too “fancy“ for my husband or too bulky because we want it to not interfere with the view from the foyer through to the back yard. Our plan: -foyer railings stained darker -walls painted in both rooms after the new fixture is installed. It’s a very neutral color now. -possibly have foyer cabinet painted or grey washed -add something above doors? Above wooden flag? -change doors? -change what is on top of foyer cabinet Any suggestions are appreciated. Sorry I can’t figure out how to unedit some of the pictures that were marked up. And our youngest kiddo likes to play with boxes of tissues so that last pic has tissues all over. :)...See MoreIdaClaire
