Quality Outdoor Furniture Brands/Materials?
Comments (19)I saw this thread as I am dealing with frustration with my wood furniture from Pottery Barn. I bought the Chatham line less than two years ago, covered it all winter and any time it rained last summer. It is peeling and has cracks. I have talked with the customer service people and they tell me this is normal and that I need to refinish it. I may let it weather, but either way, I am annoyed because it was really expensive (to me, anyway). I wouldn't get wood again......See MoreOutdoor Wood Furnace
Comments (11)They burn at low temps, water jacket, wood doesnt burn properly ,smolders ,chimney way too low. You do not want to be on the recieving end of this device. If you dont have breathing problems YOU WILL. Burning eyes, sore throat ,cough, tight chest. The people using these devices are merely trying to heat the home they live ,BUT do not understand the problems they cause for neighbors downwind..... once installed they are not going to give in to neighbors being bothered by such a device. Local authorites ring their hands they never have encountered such an issue.....See MoreWhat is a GOOD brand of deck stain?
Comments (8)Its a deal with outdoor finish, a Person can go with man made stuff and agree with the many short falls involved with them different as they are from wood construstion in a few ways. Nice span job diyh. But really Folks keeping up a high grade project done with say..ipe or garapa..is about the same as washing and waxing your car. Now some Wallets get the fire irritates thing going on with Any work involved with Anything. Now to me its very relaxing to work on my own stuff I actually enjoy every min cleaning up my Sportster, mowing the lawn, keeping the finish up on my S American deck out back of Butler Manor and washing/waxing my 97 two door Tahoe. If you want to belive in a one time finish like that all I have to say is just go ahead on it,,there is no use going into this subject again. Anything worth while is going to require some Work. Comments (31)The top hat machines are not close to the nugget machine as far as noise levels. They make the ice in completely different ways. The nugget machine make almost no noise when it is making the ice. It basically pushes the water up through a large rotating chilled tube that forms the ice and as it rotates the slices off the ice into nuggets kind of like a pasta machine. If you want the chewable ice this is the way to go. The one thing to make sure of is to have the best water you can going into the machine. It uses almost 100% of the water for ice production so whatever is in the water will be in the ice. The top hat machines are nosier that the nugget machines just because of the way that the ice in made. But they are perfect crystal clear because of the way that the ice is made. If you do have a true commercial machine I think the SCC models will be quieter just because commercial equipment is generally noisier. If you want ice for a bar and want clear ice for cocktails the top hat machine is the way to go. If you can go with the gravity drain machine and not have the pump to get the water out that will save some money and also be quieter when the machine is running....See Moreemehouse1
