This is a pottery barn ottomon prob 15 years old...has seen better days. It’s leather and has a tear in it. Wondering if i coukd reapolster it myself at home and if so how easy is it to do and suggestions of what you would use it for. For kids in the basement a bedroom?

I've tried to do it myself but took hours of removing staples and fitting new fabric. much better to take it to a upholstery specialist. they can do a much better job and an old piece of furniture is much better built than ones you can buy today, worth the investment

How about making a slip cover? I did this for an ottoman took a bit of time and fabric, but if you sew at all not difficult and easy to take off and change
