In case Jenn gets notifications on this thread, I have a similar problem. I wanted to use sconces but think there is not enough room so I think we might need to use a bathroom bar. How is the lighting you are receiving from the lighting? Are the shadows impossible? Troubling? Minimal? Thanks...should you see this.

Thanks for all the compliments! One other odd feature: I just lightly cleaned it with Brasso and discovered that it had been lacquered at some point. These photos don't do it justice, but it is there and looks very patchy -- like paint that is partially peeled off in irregular blotches. I've seen lacquer on brass goblets and candlesticks too. Unless I can find a non-abrasive means of removing the lacquer, I will just let the patina re-form. I am quite happy with this purchase. I removed the wick assembly from the bottom (came out with very easily, with no damage) and use the lantern as a votive candleholder. As you might imagine, that thick Fresnel lens REALLY REALLY augments the candlelight! That's what it was designed for in the first place.

I have the same bedroom set. It has Burns written inside a maple leaf inside a drawer. I bought the set with twin beds that I think were made by the same manufacturer but they have no logo stamped on them. They do have Sibley Lindsay & Curr stamped on the back of the headboards. I think that's a Rochester, NY department store. Did you find any further info? Thanks.

Keurig here, too. I just have their most basic model Friends have the newer fancier models but I prefer mine. It's so easy to use. I'm not a big coffee drinker, just one cup a day but I use it for tea and hot chocolate, too. Instead of tea pods and hot chocolate pods, I just put the tea bag or the hot chocolate mix in the cup and let the hot water come through. Last night I had 12 people over after we went out to dinner. Served eggnog and cookies after which some people wanted coffee or tea. No problem, didn't need to brew anything, just left the Keurig on and let people help themselves. If you decide to go this route, consider getting the rotating stand for the K-cups. It's 3-pods wide and about 5 pods tall. It rotates and the backside holds the same amount. I keep regular coffee on one side and last night I turned it around for decaf and tea. You can get it on Amazon. I don't think BB&B carries it in their stores, maybe on line. I prefer it over their regular K-cup carrier because it takes ups little space. The drawer looked like a great idea at first.....it fits under the Keurig. However, I was clever enough to measure the height before buying it and it's too high to fit under most kitchen cabinets. Friends of mine were not so clever. :-))))
