Bosch induction slide in - do I need low backguard trim?

I’ve ordered the HIIP056 slide in induction range. The web page shows a low backguard trim as an optional accessory. The installation manual seems to show the trim on the range. See attached pics.

I’ve reviewed the install instructions for the range, the optional accessory is not mentioned. I’ve reviewed the install instructions for the accessory piece, it does not say when or why you would need this piece.

My appliances are coming from a great distance away with a $1000 shipping charge so if I need this piece, having it sent with the rest of the appliances would not incur me additional shipping charges. Ordering after will be quite a bit more costly. If I order now and don’t need it, I’m stuck with a $400 item I don’t need.

Is there a way to confidently determine if this piece is needed for my install? I’m not willing to rely on an answer from a sales guy at the appliance store.
