Adding length to curtains (with pics.)
Comments (7)I'm with nhb that either would work. I'd go same color to add height to the room if it were my choice. I think you already have enough going on at the bottom of the panels without adding another color. In fact I'd remove the hem which appears to be an add on and use the solid to lengthen and hem each panel....See MoreCurtains for an oddly recessed living room window. (& what length?)
Comments (2)Unless you plan (or don't mind) covering much of the side windows, curtains won't work. There's just not enough wall space. Shades or blinds would be a better choice. I assume there would be a header to go into....See MoreHelp With Curtain Length and Color
Comments (20)Your photo shows the rectangular dining table is parallel to the door, so it seems fine - and the area is angular too. I think there's a strong diagonal of the tray ceiling bump-down, and the island.. what do you think? I wonder about a ceiling change within the tray? it seems empty/lacking what I can see.. as though something needs emphasis. You said feels like apartment in dining - I think there's a large scale in nearby areas that it feels puny, and isolated... sense to that?...See More
