Another quick suggestion...if you did a round cream coloured table then you could pair it with woven chairs that would help tie the various wood tones and granite colour together and add some texture to your dining side of kitchen.

Those chairs you linked are beautiful but I wonder if they would be practical? Nice that its just the cushion with upholstery but I wonder about the rattan and how it is to live with. Other than that, I think it would look great.

I like the table but would prefer in a warm white white. The gray is not working with the warmth in your kitchen cabinetry and countertop.

Yes, definitely need to be practical for the homeowners lifestyle or won’t be a good choice. This style doesn’t have a cushion and has more colour variation to include the warm tones in room. Not sure if woven chairs are even of interest, but nice style paired with a round table.

Hi again! Thank you all so much for weighing in - truly appreciate it! Interior home design is just so hard for me. It is sounding to me like I am going to have to get a cream table. I was hoping to make this one work since I was hoping it would pull in a bit of the gray in the granite. But the color of the table is more gray than it appeared online and inherently I see what you are saying. I love the woven chairs posted and the Serena and Lily bistro chairs, but was leaning towards smaller x-back chairs so that I could maximize space around the table as we are a family of 5. The table is 58" and with a smaller profile chair I can easily fit six. But maybe there are some smaller profile woven ones that I should investigate. I really wish that furniture buying (and honestly furniture returning) was much easier as I bought the current table from Birch Lane....meaning I am just going to have to sell it on Craigslist for a loss. Argh!

You said you made a mistake remodeling without a designer. Why not consult one now who can visit you in person to provide some direction? Perhaps there is a way to make the table work. Sure, cream may be ideal, but why not explore using the grey with someone who can look at your whole space and not just a few pictures online? Don’t throw more good money after bad until an expert has weighed in.

I like the table with your current chairs. Before selling it at a loss I would paint it cream. First, I would get some pretty placemats or tablecloth and use it as is.

It is a really beautiful table and it would be a shame for you to lose money. I hadn’t realized it wasn’t one you were just trialing. Hopefully, some others weigh in and can give you some more ideas to make it work.

It's not a mismatch. I'd look for chairs in that same stain that go better with the table.
