Ballet White is an off white with brown undertones. If you look at the BM color chart they recommend a brownish gray, warm red or blue . All warm tones. Definitely earth tones. This gives you lots of options. This designer painted the walls ballet white used White Dove on the trim for contrast and used a purple and light gray woven rug in the space. Here is another room with Ballet White. This time the rug has gold and whites in it.

We have a color in our house that works well with travertine. It’s like Navajo White, but with less yellow and maybe the slightest hint of peach at times of the day. No idea the name of the color, but 1 quart custom BM formula is attached. This color is on walls, ceilings, in bathrooms, main part of house, and hallways. We had no clue it was all the same color until we started testing spots with this.

Thank you for the quick responses. My space is still in progress. My cabinets are a soft cream, very similar to Ballet white. My island is a darker wood. My counter tops are Taj Mahal quartzite. My floors are a brown/taupe wood look porcelain tile laid out in a herringbone pattern. The tile is shaded and a blend. I have no carpet, will be using area rugs, all of my wood floors are stained a custom blend of espresso and another color that I cannot recall! I have a transitional style and my home is a center hall colonial. I have a lot of moulding, including simple decorative such as box moulding on my lower walls in a few areas and up my staircase, which will all be painted white. I am looking for a lighter color that I can use throughout my foyers, including up my staircase into the upstairs foyer, my kitchen, family room, dining room, as these rooms flow into each other or have connecting walls. My living room will probably a complementary color to whatever I choose. My color scheme is primarily neutrals and earth tones. I am using cream, white, taupes. I plan on adding color with pillows, art work, accessories etc.

Beth--thanks for responding. I have actually tried both neutral ground and natural choice. They are both very pretty colors. I'm just trying to make decisions about several rooms at once and I'm completely drowning in this decision. My lights bulbs are the 90+ cre warm bulbs, but unfortunately, I have florescent lights in the kitchen part of the room. I get a decent amount of light in the breakfast room, but very little in the kitchen area. The adjacent living room is paneled and quite dark (north-facing, lots of trees) This has been the most frustrating redo I have ever done. I've looked at so many colors I don't like anything anymore. Ballet White, Shoji, and Feather Down all work in my kitchen. I don't think any of them will be "bad", but I am notorious for picking a color to pieces after it is on the wall--and I just can't see how it will play with the other colors in the house until it is on the wall. This will be my 4th repaint this go round. I may revisit neutral ground. I do think it is a very pretty color.
