I agree with using sheers if privacy isn't an issue, as they will stop the night-time glare from your room lights and bring a touch of coziness and visual warmth for winter.

I wish the folks for whom I baby-sat long ago had had sheers at least on their floor to ceiling windows where the tv was located. Late one night, I was watching the wonderful, old Alfred Hitchcock Hour, when suddenly a man's face peered in at me. Freaked me out BIG time. (I was only 13, so I called my mother, who was only a few houses away, and she came over to soothe my rattled psyche. Bless mothers everywhere!)

Maybe a light colored roller shade or roman shade? This is an example of what I was thinking.

Are you sure you need them? You have so many windows and they are so symmetrical that whatever you add will create a pattern. Of course, I am a pretty anti WT!

I agree that you definitely do not need them unless it is for privacy. The light coming through them is gorgeous! You have done a fantastic job decorating your beautiful space!

If you feel the need for window treatments at all, some sort of shade will give the tidiest, most minimalist look and doesn't hide the nice repeated shape of your windows. A color similar to your wall in fabric or woven wood. Possibly fabric with a decorative tape that coordinates with the upholstery.

Take a look at the Hunter Douglas Sonnette cellular roller shades. They can be made as light filtering or light blocking.

I bought a house with them already installed in two rooms. I just added a set in an additional room in my house using the Bella View Legacy Light Filtering shades from American Blinds. They are very similar and if you can install them yourself, much more cost effective. Mine provide light and privacy. They roll up and away when I don't need them.

I think the light filtering ones would look nice in your application.

If I had to hang anything, I’d look for a natural matchstick or woven wood blind. And leave them pulled up most of the time.

Thank you for your kind words, we are very happy with how the space is progressing. We really lucked out on the rug. As I mentioned in my prior rug post, we only do inexpensive rugs due to pets. Someone suggested the bug orange box store due to ease of buying and returning and that worked well for us. The second rug I ordered had just the right combo of colors to bring it together to my liking.

We definitely do not need window coverings for privacy, but on a cold winter night I think they add to a feeling of coziness. Someone asked about desired length, we will only go to the sill. I dont think I would like sheers because I will want to push them to the side during the day to see out and they will block light.

I like the idea of a roller shade or a woven wood, I think some texture would be nice. My husband wants honeycomb shades, but I am not a huge fan.

If DH wants honeycomb, show him the new cellular shades. I think he would like them.
